i have two hydrangea plants that are in pots that have ben frozen all winter. i tok them out of the groung in the end of the summer beacuse i knew i was going to be moving, but i didnt take them inside. they have always come back in the spring for 3 years. my question is, should i take them in and use a plant light on them or wait until spring and put them in the ground to see if they wil come back
Hydrangea plant question?
If there is any life left in them, planting them will only stress the roots. Leave them in the pots, feed them and water them, and if they start new growth then you can plant them later. Or just repot them when they are well extablished into bigger pots and don't forget to bring them indoors this winter.
Reply:Good luck, I love hydrangeas! Thank you Report It
Reply:Yes,I would try to revive them in the pots first and see if they look to be making it then repot later either in the ground or larger pots. No,I would leave them outside.
Reply:You can try to bring them back with a plant light, but they prefer the outdoors.
